Red, Yellow and Blue Card Polices
Effective 4/7/02
I.
All cards will have a point value and accumulate for Four Consecutive
Months.
Anyone that accumulates 6 points within a four month period
must follow the same procedure as if it was a red card. Players that accumulate
6 points must sit out a minimum of one week and sit out one league game. That person
must also make an appointment with the Program Director for a meeting before they
will be allowed to resume playing.
Red – 6 points, Yellow – 2 points,
Blue – 1 point
II In the same game
1.
One blue card is a 2 minute
penalty. The referee has the discretion to have the player serve the full 2 minutes
or allow them to return to the field if a goal is scored against them.
2.
A second blue card equals a
yellow. The referee has the discretion to have the player serve the full 4
minutes or allow them to return to the field if a goal is scored against them.
3.
A third blue card is the same
as a red card. (see below)
4.
A yellow card and any other
card equals a red card.
III Red Cards
- 6 points
1.
$25
minimum charge for any player receiving a red card.
2.
Person
receiving the card cannot participate in any functions at OSSC for a minimum of
one week.
3.
Person
receiving the card must miss at least one (the next) league game.
4.
The person
receiving the card must make an appointment with the Program Director to discuss
the card before they will be allowed to play again.
5.
The Program
Director will determine the length of the suspension.
6.
Any team
with a red card, from a previous session (within four months) will be charged an
additional $25 registration fee to cover additional officiating cost.
7.
Any player,
coach, or bench personnel with a red card, from a previous session (within four
months) will be charged an additional $25 registration fee to cover additional officiating
cost.
8.
Anyone
starting or participating in a fight will be expelled from the facility permanently.
9.
2 points
will be subtracted from the standings of a team for each red card they receive in
a session.
10.
If a player
receives a red card that player must leave the facility immediately unless they
are under 18. Minors must go to the office and their parents will be called to come
pick them up. Another player from their team must sit in the penalty box for the
full five minute penalty and the team will play short for the full five minute penalty.

If a coach
or bench personnel receives a red card that person must leave the facility immediately
unless they are under 18. Minors must go to the office and their parents will be

IV Yellow
Cards – 2 points

If a player receives a yellow card that player
must go directly to the penalty box, state his/her name and must sit in the penalty
box for the full four minute penalty. His or her team will play short for the full
four minute penalty.

If a coach or bench personnel receives a yellow card a
player from their team must sit in the penalty box for the full four minute penalty
and the team will play short for the full four minute penalty.
2.
In different
games/ different leagues - Each yellow card is worth 2 points so three yellow
cards in different games and /or different leagues within a four month period equals
6 point. That player then must sit out one week, and one game, and make an appointment
with the Program Director to be eligible to play
V Blue Cards
- 1 point
1.
In the
same game
a. If a player receives a blue card that
player must go directly to the penalty box, state his/her name and must sit in the
penalty box for the two minute penalty. His or her team will play short during the
two minutes. If a goal is scored against his team he may re-enter the field, at
the referees discretion

from their team must sit in the penalty box for the two minute penalty and the team
will play short for the two minute penalty. If a goal is scored against his team
he may re-enter the field at the referees discretion.

Two blue cards equal a yellow and any other
card equals a red.

games
Each blue card is worth 1 point. Six blue cards in different
games and /or different leagues within a four month period equals 6 points. That
player then must sit out for one week and at least one game, and, and make
an appointment with the Program Director to be eligible to play.
